The arboretum is a part of the chateau parks, which measure a total of more than 4 hectares of land divided into the upper and lower part (below the road) and the park in the inner chateau grounds. There is a board information system on the chateau grounds and the upper chateau park, which provides basic information on trees and bushes planted in the park.



The information system of the Arboretum includes scenic tour (with basic information, pictures and photographs about over 100 woody plants), an introduction board, 15 double-sided boards (with the scheme of the scenic tour and nominal index) and labels with reference to the exact place of the plant and information about it. This information system can be also found on the web pages of the Arboretum.
Specialized databases of woody species are in a separated system and in the standard of the Union of Botanical Gardens in the Czech Republic. The Arboretum is also opened for research work and educational purposes. Thanks to the Tourist Information Centre, the Arboretum is opened to public the whole year long.

Arboretum Žampach je provozováno Domovem pod hradem Žampach, príspevkovou organizací sociálních služeb Pardubického kraje. Arboretum se rozkládá na ploše cca 4 ha a je cleneno do 3 cástí - dolní, horní park a park ve vnitrním zámeckém areálu. Sbírkový fond zahrnuje cca 600 druhu a kultivaru drevin, vcetne u nás vzácne zastoupených druhu. Informacní systém arboreta zahrnuje rejstríky tabulí a drevin prístupné z www stránek a v terénu pak poznávací okruh s tabulkovými informacemi o drevinách. Arboretum Žampach patrí mezi všeobecná arboreta, ale zahrnuje také významnejší tematické sbírky nekterých rodu drevin, jako napr. borovice, jedle, dub, magnolie, buk, smrk, bríza a jasan. Zámecké parky jsou státem chránenou kulturní památkou. Arboretum Žampach je clenem Unie botanických zahrad CR.
