Zippy enjoyed sitting in these futuristic bubble chairs at the library, apparently having a conversation with his own thoughts. Zippy feels the chairs make him think about time, space and the future, because maybe Albert Einstiein once sat in these chairs.
The chairs are no longer blue as depicted in the color version of the strip, but have been reupholstered in two designs. One is a solid reddish-orange, and the second has red and yellow stripes, probably Zippy's favorite colors.

When I visited, the arrangement of the chairs were different from the strip, but the spiral table is still in the center of the chair arrangement.
