This utility box is decorated on three sides, as the fourth side is mounted against a utility pole. One side features a Texas bluebonnet state flower with a sun shining on it. The next side is a red and yellow flower with some purple butterflies and an armadillo. The third side features a colorful guitar, also representing the music scene in Austin. It looks like the works may have originally be done on metal plates by the children and then fastened to the side of the box.

The utility box can be seen in Google Street View (then unpainted).
