The memorial is a 7-foot bronze statue of a firefighter kneeling in prayer on a granite base. There are plaques with LODD's Voight LaClair's and Lewis Williams' names along with a passage from John 15:13, which reads "Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." The memorial is located at the intersection of North Mount Vernon Avenue and Pittsburgh Street.
