The Mars Hill Cemetery adjoins the Mars Hill former school and church. The building is clearly still being used, but there is no sign with service times, so it may, perhaps, be used as a chapel for the cemetery. At the time of this waymark posting, FindAGrave recorded 777 interments at Mars Hill Cemetery, with the latest being in 2014. Although there were many graves without dates, the oldest recorded burial was in 1850.
