Although this pump has had the plunger and handle removed, it is still mounted in its original location, outside of the Vine Hill School and Church, also known as Horn[e]y Buck School. According to the sign at the front of the building, this block building was built in 1939 by the WPA (replacing a former wood-sided building partially visible in some rootsweb pages).
On one side of the pump is the number 715. On the other side is the manufacturer's information molded into the metal pump head:
