Near Highspire, within the Highspire Cemetery, is this grave marker for Stella H. Woolcott who lived for 102 years.

The cemetery is located along Richardson Road, which is off Eisenhower Blvd, and across the street from an exit ramp to I-283. The entrance is off Richardson Road.

The grave is located near the middle of the cemetery toward the east side of the grounds. There is a large reddish family marker for "Woolcott" nearby.

The pair of markers have a low profile - less than a foot high - made of grey granite. Stella's is on the right. The text on her marker is as follows:

"Stella H. Woolcott
Aug. 2, 1887
May 23, 1990"

I could not find anything else about either of them. Findagrave.com has an entry for the marker, but there is little extra information entered. Comparing the years of death, I was surprised to see how early her husband, Henry died (1924), living not even 40 years, compared to how long she had lived.

Some events that happened during her birth and death:

1887
February 2 – In Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, the first Groundhog Day is observed.
July 1 – Construction of the iron structure of the Eiffel Tower starts in Paris, France
November - Results of the Michelson-Morley experiment are published, indicating that the speed of light is independent of motion.

1990
January 1 - Poland becomes the first country in Eastern Europe to begin abolishing its state socialist economy. Poland also withdraws from the Warsaw Pact.
March 18 - Twelve paintings, collectively worth $100 to $300 million, are stolen from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, Massachusetts by 2 thieves posing as police officers. This is the largest art theft in US history, and the paintings (as of 2011) have not been recovered.
July 1 – German reunification: East Germany and West Germany merge their economies. The Inner German border (constructed 1945) also ceases operations after operating since World War II.
