The Plains Public Library is located at 108 Railroad Avenue/Highway 200 next to the Mangy Moose Mercantile Garden Center. There is a lovely and tranquil park with a nice water feature in front of the library.

In 2009 the library installed Free internet access and has though of it ever since as "One of the best purchases the Library has ever made."
One may sit in the peaceful little park outside the library and keyboard to their heart's content. Or, for that matter, on blustery or snowy days they may do the same inside the library. Their open hours are below.

Tuesday 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
Wednesday 12:00 to 7:00 pm
Thursday 12:00 to 7:00 pm
Saturday 10:00 pm to 12:00
In June, July & August they are not open Saturday.
