All of this is possible in the Prison Museum. Crime and punishment are off all ages, but the implementation has changed through the years. You will discover everything about crime and punishment in the Netherlands from 1600 till now.
The Prison Museum is situated in one of the old founded coercion (build for beggars and vagrants), established in 1823 by the "Maatschappij van Weldadigheid", Veenhuizen.
The village of Veenhuizen is special with a remarkable history, over a hundred monuments and five modern prisons, which are still used.
