"Welcome to your brand new bus concourse

Come experience a new kind of transit hub. As a part of the world-class Union Station Transit Center, we opened a sleek, stylish 22-gate underground bus facility to provide convenient connections across our system. With 16 routes (including the new Free MetroRide), and several commercial carriers running through the bus concourse, you'll get where you want to go, and fast.

Measuring in at 1,000 feet in length, the new Union Station Bus Concourse is the size of 3 football fields. Even more impressive, nearly 3 Market Street Stations can fit into this new architectural icon. It's the ultimate in comfort and convenience, and it's all yours.

A bus departs from Union Station Bus Concourse every 48 seconds during rush hours, and the bus concourse is large enough to handle all of that volume without creating a traffic jam. With service reaching all over the metro area, RTD can get you anywhere you need to go.

The Union Station Bus Concourse has 7 skylights to provide natural light in addition to traditional lighting. This means your new bus concourse is bright and cheery, a big improvement over Market Street Station.

The bus ramps in and out of the bus concourse are heated, which will keep the buses moving safely in and out of the concourse during even the worst snow storms. The stairs at the Union Station Pavilion are also equipped with snow melt technology." (from (visit link) )

I use this transit center several times a month. It is very quiet, very clean, and drab. No public art, bland colors and really just a place to move thru - quickly!
