The trailhead is at the corner of Fifth Street and Twelfth Avenue, two blocks northwest on Fifth Street from Highway 3B. From the trailhead the Antenna Trail heads southeast for about a half kilometre then forms a loop at that point, both ends of which head generally north and uphill. At the northeast corner of the loop, the Flag Viewpoint Trail takes off and heads generally northeast, switching back several times on its climb further up the hill. The Antenna Trail is 4 km. in length while the Flag Viewpoint Trail is 2 km. in length. They are both rated intermediate with difficult sections. They ought to be a good workout for the mountain biker as the elevation gain is 965 feet/294 metres.

There is a small amount of parking available near the information kiosk at the trailhead. The view of the Beaver Creek Valley ahead and the Columbia River Valley to the south is well worth the climb.
