Brew master Lukáš established in this house a Brewery and open “pub” in 1520. In 1665 Prague mayor Bartolomej Glaubic z Buciny bought the building and the pub recieved current name "U Glaubicu". Through the centuries U Glaubicu became a Prague institution where the public, politicians and nobility would meet. All went well until the second half of the 20th century where the structure gradually deteriorated and U Glaubicu was closed in 1984. But old restaurants never die and after reconstrution was reopened in May of 1998.
