The Artillery fortification Bouda is a cultural monument of the Czech Republic and an integrated part of the extended system of fortifications built to defend the former Czechoslovakia during the second half of the 30s. It consists of five mighty bastions - three infantry blocks (K-Ba-S 21, K-Ba-S 23,K-Ba-S 24), one artillery block (K-Ba-S 22) and the entrance block (K-Ba-S 22a).

This block K-Ba-S 21 (code name "Kazi") of the artillery fortification Bouda was equipped with 6 heavy machine guns model 37 in twin mountings, two of them in embrasures in the combat room, the third weapon in a cupola. Furthermore there were two light machine guns model 26, one of them in an auxiliary embrasure, the other one in a dome. The crew consisted of 21 soldiers. The block is fitted with an emergency exit, protected by a rifle embrasure, which leads into the so-called “diamond trench” (protection gap) beneath the embrasures. In the block you also find two ammo dumps, a filter room, a handgrenade storage, a storage room, the operation centre, a communication room, and a lavatory with toilet. The block can be visited within the long guided tour or the extraordinary guided tour.
