"The victim was a woman in her 40s who had been riding her bike when she was hit by a car, according to an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division. The crash was not a hit-and-run, the officer said.
On scene, Valley Traffic Division police Lt. Warren Jones said two vehicles had collided in the intersection at Shoup Avenue and Sherman Way, then one of the vehicles ran off the roadway and onto the sidewalk, where the cyclist was fatally struck." (
