This 5-7 hour canoe trip will take you through a massive and beutiful swamp filled to the brim with wildlife.

Located 120km North of Toronto, The Minesing Swamp encompasses 6,000 hectares or
RAMSAR protected swampland.
The Voyage begins at the Notawasaga Conservation Authorities Canoe Launch station. A Fee is suggested, and can be donated at the metal box which is located on site.
This is a slow moving river, with a few portages required along the way due to log jams. A ghost village (once called McKinnon) in the centre of the swamp adds to the mystery of the area, and will entice you to shore to view your surroundings.
PLEASE BE AWARE: There are no roads, bridges, people or convenience stores out here. You will need to bring food and water. Cell Phones may be iffy as well, so please come prepared!
