The sign has an old photo of people shopping for seafood on Fisherman's Wharf and reads:
"For some in Fisherman's Wharf, working with a fish is a
long-running family business. Many pioneer families
decided to sell seafood as well as catch it, and soon their
market stalls on Taylor Street grew into restaurants. Several
bear the original family name and stall number."
