The Tamiami Trail is a Florida Scenic highway, that runs from Tampa to Miami a distance of 270 miles, but only 70 miles is classified as scenic by the State of Florida.

The Bayfront Park Island has great coastal views, sculptures, a fountain, Banyan trees, & the thing I liked best, swinging park benches.

"Sarasota Bayfront Park (Island Park), the Park overlooks Sarasota Bay from its location at Gulfstream and Ringling Boulevards. The park is surrounded by water; flanked by the marina to the north and by private anchored boats to the south. Here you can enjoy views of Siesta Key, Lido Key, Longboat Key, and Bird Key, as well as the John Ringling Bridge. Simply turn around to view the sparkling Sarasota skyline.
