The Boston Museum of Science displays rocks and minerals from around the world it an outdoor exhibit in front of the museum entrance. The collection contain three types of rocks: igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic as well as minerals and fossils. Each specimen has a nearby sign that explains its geology.
Each oval sign gives the name of the specimen, where it was acquired, its approximate age, a physical description, and special features to look for.
