The following comes from the church's website:
This landmark building was designed by architects George Foote Duncan & C.H. Wallwork of Portland, Oregon. The cornerstone of our church was laid on November 21, 1919 with only the Board of Directors, Building Committee and a few friends present. The first service in the new church was held August 29, 1920, and on September 2nd and 3rd, Paul Stark Seeley, C.S.B. spoke on two successive evenings in the new church. Our church was then, and still is, much admired for its location at the top of an urban park, and for its graceful neoclassical architecture. A three-manual Casavant Freres pipe organ was installed in the church in 1927, and this instrument is considered one of the finest in Victoria. The church was dedicated free of debt on October 17, 1943. Two houses adjacent to the church were purchased in 1965, providing space for a parking lot and also making possible the addition for an elevator to our second floor auditorium. In 1977 the building received heritage status by the City of Victoria.
Services are held on Sundays from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. A Christian Science Reading Room and bookstore are also housed within the church building.
