The history of the pilgrimage site begins back in 1814, when carter A. Keprta was driving a load of mill stones through here. The vehicle turned over on the rutted road and the carter was left trapped under it. When he begged the Virgin Mary for help, an illumination of a woman appeared, who helped him. In 1864 a chapel was built here and in 1875 the present day hotel, inside of which the chapel remains preserved.

Historie poutního místa zacíná v r. 1814, kdy tudy vezl forman A. Keprta náklad mlýnských kamenu. Na rozježdené ceste se vuz prevrátil a forman pod ním zustal uveznen. Když prosil o pomoc Pannu Marii, zjevila se mu zárící paní, která mu pomohla. R. 1864 zde byla postavena kaplicka a r. 1875 i dnešní kostel, v jehož vnitrku zustala kaplicka zachována.
