This USC&GS benchmark, monumented in 1914, is on the southeast corner of a one time Northern Railway bridge, in the top of the south concrete abutment, directly below a wooden walkway frame. The bridge is just across the river from Paradise, MT

0.6 MILE SOUTH ALONG THE NORTHERN PACIFIC RAILWAY FROM THE STATION AT
PARADISE, AT STEEL BRIDGE 218 OVER CLARK FORK COLUMBIA RIVER, IN THE
TOP OF THE SOUTHEAST END OF THE SOUTHWEST CONCRETE ABUTMENT, 7.1 FEET
SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST RAIL, AND ABOUT 1 FOOT LOWER THAN THE TOP
OF THE RAIL.

OVER THE CLARK FORK RIVER, 2.1 METER (7.0 FEET) EAST OF THE EAST RAIL
OF THE TRACKS, 0.7 METER (2.3 FEET) NORTH OF THE SOUTH EDGE OF THE
ABUTMENT, 0.2 METER (0.7 FOOT) WEST OF THE EAST EDGE OF THE ABUTMENT.
