Robert Farlin Loutzenhiser, 69, of Auxvasse, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014, at Boone Hospital Center. He was born August 16, 1944, in Fulton, the son of the late James Paul Loutzenhiser and the late Faith (Farlin) Loutzenhiser. On September 3, 1967, Robert was united in marriage to Marilyn Grace Taylor. She survives at their home. Robert went to Linotype school at the University of Missouri. Upon completion, he set type for the Columbia Tribune. He was born with a love of the land and was a lifelong farmer. Robert was a member of First Baptist Church in Fulton. He held memberships with the Missouri State Fair Foundation and the Callaway County Road District. His past-times included trips on his Gold Wing, trail riding with his mules, and spending winters in Weslaco, Texas. Robert had a great love for his family and enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all of his family and friends. Along with his wife of 46 years, Robert is survived by three sisters, Sharon Gibson Barksdale of Weslaco, Texas, Karen Kay Maddox (Guy) of Kingdom City, Mo., and Elizabeth Jane Snodgrass of Columbia, Mo.; and brother-in-law, Gary Taylor of Fulton. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Paul Polk Loutzenhiser and James Timothy Loutzenhiser. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014, at Maupin Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Paris and Dr. Gary Schulte officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Hatton Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the Callaway County Humane Society, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.
