Depicted Baroque burgher house, known under name "U cerného vola" ("At the Black Ox"), You can find in Loretánské námestí (Loreto Square) in Prague' district Hradcany.
"At the Black Ox", building with Renaissance core built at expenses of Matouš Marber after 1560, was extended by administrator of Imperial Office Gerhard Ostrmayer in 1629. Current highly decorative late Baroque front facade, interesting by using of "blind" false painted windows for preserving of visual facade' symmetry, is from 1726. The most beautiful architectural facade' element, located above main portal, is polychromed relief depicting St. Lucas making a painting of Our Lady with infant Jesus (unknown Baroque artist). "At the Black Ox" is also name of famous "old-fashioned" traditional Prague' pub, which You can find in this house...
