The majority of the Boston Avenue United Methodist Church as you see it today was completed in 1929. One of the finest examples of ecclesiastical art deco architecture in the USA.
The bronze over life-size sculpture featuring, three young people dancing for joy, is overlooked by the 14 story tower of the BA United Methodist Church.
The plaque near the sculpture reads.
"Celebrating the interfaith ministry of the Rev. Dr. Mouzon Biggs, Jr.
How Very good and pleasant it is when kindred live together in unity! For there the LORD ordained blessing, life for forevermore. - Psalm 133. Artist Phyllis Mantik - August 20th 2006."
"The latest addition to our church campus is a 1-acre park located just north of the church. The land was purchased in January, 2004, and landscaping was completed that spring. The park is a great space for children and youth activities, family outings, and church group gatherings." text source: (
