If you happen to be sitting on the correct side of the airplane, are landing from the north, and have a window seat, you'll see this water tower just a few moments before landing at Raleigh-Durham International Airport. It's also plainly visible from U.S. 70 and I-540.
The Angus Barn opened in 1960 in what was then the outskirts of Raleigh. As its name suggests, it's a steak house, but an upscale one. The red barn theme and color extend everywhere, even to its fully functional water tower.
The tower is hidden behind some trees, but the top is always visible as advertising.
