Prior to 1910 the deceased from Denmark were buried at either Mt Barker or Albnay , both 50km away. Today the cemetery has had over 500 interments since the first in 1910, the cemetery was originally laid out in four sections, one for each different denomination, with a road seperating them, but was soon abandoned
