This firehouse is nearly identical to the Woodland Street Firehouse, which were designed by Fuller and Delano in 1886. Built to serve South Worcester, an area that experienced rapid expansion during the 1880's and 90's due to the carpet mills in the area.

Today it appears it is the offices of a local contractor.
