From T15S R10E S32 33 [T16S R10E S5] SC COR (WAYMARK WMMV48) continue E, keeping to the N of the E-W fence line. Based on field measured GPS UTM grid coordinates, the present standard corner bears N88.9°E from WAYMARK WMMV48, 5303' distant.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on iron pipe in mound of stones; rising 6"
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is just N of the fence line. In addition to one of the original bearing trees still standing, found two ponderosa pines each with a scribed, partly-healed blaze, a yellow BEARING TREE tag, an ATTENTION sign on the backside and a 60d spike with a washer. There is also an orange Carsonite witness post with PROPERTY BOUNDARY and LAND SURVEY MARKER decals.
What property is this mark defining?:
Land to the S is private property, else Deschutes National Forest.
The corner is on the Third Standard Parallel South.
