EN:
Saint Wenceslas (about 907 - 28 September 935, German Wenzel von Bohemia ) was a Czech prince and saint , who is considered the main Czech patron saint and symbol of Czech statehood.

He was raised by his grandmother St. Ludmila and educated in Scripture ( holy ) and in writing (writing ) on the booth . As a prince , after the defeat of Saxon King Henry the Fowler , was able to maintain the sovereignty of the state and founded the Cathedral of Sts. Vitus Cathedral, the main church of the principality. He was murdered in the (old) Boleslav , the seat of his brother Boleslav, because the government took over . After the death of Václav began to be venerated as a saint for his piety ( handwritten cultivation of corn and wine for Holy Communion , care for the poor , slaves and prisoners , building churches , felling gallows and model etc. . ) And posthumous miracles . He later became a symbol of the Czech state , for example, in the Vyšehrad Codex , on coins or Myslbek monument .

It is not entirely excluded or date of death 28 September 929.
