In Gettysburg, a couple blocks north of the center is the Gettysburg Railroad Station, which has an exact model of this building within it.

The station is located on Carlisle Street, on the east side of the railroad crossing. The building is roughly cubic shaped with an extension along the track platform. It is made of wood and is painted a mustard yellow. It is two stories tall, with a bell cupola at the top.

Inside, the railroad station, now a tourist information center, has a display in the center of one room of the station of an exact replica model of this station. The model is painted white with brown trim. It has holes in the side to see the interior, which is also exactly made.

The small sign by the building has the following text:

"The Gettysburg Railroad Station, 1859 to 1886

This model depicts in exact scale (one inch equals one foot) the appearance of the station or "head house" in 1863. The south wall has been left partially open to show how the fire floor was divided into two rooms providing separate waiting areas for women and children, and for men. This was in keeping with the public custom of the times. The floor-to-ceiling cylinder structure at the east end of the room contained a spiral staircase that led to the second floor, and from there to the roof and bell cupola. The second floor was one large room and housed the office of the president of the Gettysburg Railroad Company. The double doors on the east side of the station led to the passenger boarding platform and provided separate access to each of the tow waiting rooms."
