The house's website has a little background:

Built in 1896 by Jerome B. Pillow, the historic Pillow-Thompson House in Helena, Arkansas, has been beautifully restored to offer visitors a look at one of the finest examples of Queen Anne architecture in the South. It is one of several homes in Helena designed by architect George Barber.

The house was donated to the Phillips Community College Foundation in 1992 by Josephine Thompson and her son George de Man. Five generations of Pillow descendants have lived in the house. The house was restored through a joint effort of the community and Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas. The house was opened to the public on June 3, 1997.
