(eng)The town of Montlouis-sur-Loire has long chosen to operate drinking water and sanitation services in-house in order to best satisfy the public interest.
So these are the ten municipal officials of the Directorate of Water and Sanitation involved in the production and distribution of drinking water , collection and treatment of waste and monitoring the 4900 subscribers waters.
The interests of a direct control for Montlouisiens are multiple :
the proximity of municipal employees provides great responsiveness to technical interventions, and especially it is for the City to make the investments and implement service operations by engaging the financial, material and human resources , no more, no less.
Appropriate organization :
To best meet the needs of Montlouisiens , the Directorate of Water and Sanitation , framed by a Director, is organized as follows from 1 January 2011:
- A "network" team consisting of a team leader and four field staff is responsible for the maintenance of drinking water and sanitation, as well as achieving some Daywork (making new connections , production of small extensions of networks).
- A "works" team , consisting of two electrical engineers , is responsible for the operation of the wells and the water tower , pumping the sewage and water treatment plant network.
- A stage manager monitors and home subscribers and billing.
- A quality manager accompanies the teams to optimize working methods and to continuously improve the organization of services.
