Bronze 2002

A gift from Mr and Mrs L L Odette, Toronto

Tembo is the name of the (bronze) baby elephant that can be found on the steps opposite Waterstones bookshop in Clare Market. 'Baby Tembo' was donated to LSE by a former General Course student, Louis Odette.

Further examples of the artist's work can be seen in Windsor, Canada. It is not known if the baby elephant in London is one of those from Windsor - or not.
