The current sign is in poor condition and is in need of attention. It has a black background with the name "Rose & Crown" in white lettering. Covering the rest of the board is what appears to be some red, green and gold foliage that is assumed to represent the "rose" aspect of the pub's name. A small gold coloured crown is displayed in the top left corner above the pub's name.
A sign on the corner of the building tells us:
Ye Old
Rose
and
Crown
established
in the reign
of
Queen
Elizabeth
Rebuilt
AD
1888
Above this plaque is a crown and above that is a rose.
