MW0953 - NGS 'C 136 RESET' Vertical Control Mark - Adin, CA - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

I recovered this National Geodetic Survey vertical control mark from 1983 in good condition, although the NGS datasheet lists this mark as being monumented in 1989. The mark is is pretty good condition with a few scuff marks across the disk face, but the stamping is still legible. The NGS datasheet description is adequate for station recovery. My more accurate coordinates will place you very close to this mark.

DESCRIBED BY CALTRANS 1989 IN ADIN, ON U.S. HIGHWAY 299 AT THE BUTTE CREEK BRIDGE NO. 3-01 IN THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE DECK, 2 FEET (0.6 M) NORTH OF SOUTH END OF BRIDGE, 6 INCHES WEST OF RAIL AND LEVEL WITH THE DECK.
