The Richville Cemetery was the the location of the Harroun Family burial plot. Richville was the original name of Pembroke. The cemetery is sometimes referred to as the Town of Pembroke Cemetery.
The cemetery was in use from the early 19th until the early 20th century. A caretaker was kept on until the mid 1930's. Early records indicate as many as 40 burials in this cemetery.
In 1987 the remaining stones and fragments were gathered and buried en masse under the memorial stone. The remains were left as is, unmarked.
The cemetery can be reached by following Back Street north from NY Rte 5 (Main Rd) in Pembroke.
