Apparently there was a second fisherman who caught a big one on some REALLY BIG tackle, then walked away, leaving his prize catch dangling.

This really big rod, complete with fish, is beside Flower Creek which crosses under Highway 2 here, near the western edge of Libby. There's a supermarket parking lot about 60 yards southeast in which the curious may park.
We'd say that the rod is a good twenty feet in length and has a casting reel on it close to a foot in diameter. This isn't the only one of these "sculptures" in the vicinity. There is another nearly identical one in Troy, several miles further west on Highway 2. The other is a fly rod, whereas this is a casting rod. We're left wondering how many of these there are to be found in Lincoln County.
