At the intersection with Hood Avenue in Sisters, turn onto Elm Street, which becomes FR16 in 0.4 miles. From the intersection, continue generally S for 5.6 miles to the corner on the left.
Type of survey mark: 3-1/4" aluminum cap on 5/8" rebar in a ring of stones; rising 6"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is about 1420' E from the centerline of FR16 in a burn area. Found two sawed stumps, 3' and 5' tall respectively, each with a healed blaze, a yellow BEARING TREE tag and a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign on the reverse side. In addition, there are PROPERTY BOUNDARY and LAND SURVEY MONUMENT signs mounted on a U-post.


What property is this mark defining?:
Land to the S is private property, else Deschutes National Forest. The corner is on the Third Standard Parallel South.
