From T16S R9E S1 R10E S6 1/4 COR (WAYMARK WMMTM4), continue N cross-country and intersect with Peterson Ridge Trail Extension. Based on field measured GPS UTM grid coordinates, the present closing corner bears N01.2°W from WAYMARK WMMTM4, 318' distant.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on galvanized iron pipe in a mound of stones; rising 4"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is just south of the trail. Found a Douglas fir and a ponderosa pine each with a healed blaze, yellow BEARING TREE tag and an ATTENTION sign on the backside. The corner is marked with PROPERTY BOUNDARY and LAND SURVEY MONUMENT signs mounted on a U-post and an orange Carsonite witness post with PROPERTY BOUNDARY and LAND SURVEY MARKER decals.


What property is this mark defining?:
The land SE is private property, else Deschutes National Forest. The corner is on the Third Standard Parallel South. Also see Oregon Corner Restoration Record, Index File No. 0306, filed in the Deschutes County Surveyors Office.
