At the intersection with Hood Avenue in Sisters, turn onto Elm Street, which becomes FR16 in 0.4 miles. From the intersection, continue generally S for 5.9 miles to the corner on the right.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on a steel pipe in a mound of stones; rising 4"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is about 900' N from the centerline of FR16, near a fence turn post. Found one ponderosa pine with a partly-healed, scribed blaze, a yellow BEARING TREE tag, an ATTENTION sign on the backside and a 60d nail with brass washer stamped LS 702. There is a LOCATION POSTER nailed to the fence and an orange Carsonite witness post with PROPERTY BOUNDARY and LAND SURVEY MARKER decals.

What property is this mark defining?:
Land immediately to the east is private property, else Deschutes National Forest. See also Oregon Corner Restoration Record, Index File No. 0310, filed in the Deschutes County Surveyors Office.
