At the intersection with Hood Avenue in Sisters, turn onto Elm Street, which becomes FR16 in 0.4 miles. From the intersection, continue generally S for 5.9 miles. Turn left onto the new alignment of FR1610 and continue about 0.3 miles to the corner on the right.
Type of survey mark: 2-1/2" brass cap on a steel pipe in a mound of stones; flush with the ground

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The corner is about 40' SW from the road near a right angle curve. Found two ponderosa pines each with a partly-healed, scribed blaze, a yellow BEARING TREE tag and an ATTENTION sign on the backside. A Brooks-Scanlon Inc. LOCATION POSTER is nailed to one tree. In addition to a wooden lath stake marking the corner, there is an orange Carsonite witness post with PROPERTY BOUNDARY and LAND SURVEY MARKER decals.


What property is this mark defining?:
Land to the east is private property, else Deschutes National Forest. See also Oregon Corner Restoration Record, Index File No. 0309, filed in the Deschutes County Surveyors Office.
