Bird House 'Condo' FEMA Fire Academy - Emmitsburg, MD - Unique Bird Houses on Waymarking.com

In Emmitsburg, just off Highway US 15, is the FEMA Fire Academy, which has this multi-unit birdhouse on the campus.

The campus is located on the south side of Emmitsburg, along S. Seton Ave., just north of the intersection with U.S. 15. To get to the birdhouse, first, you have to go through security at the entrance. This involves a conversation with the security person posted, having government issued photo-IDs reviewed and held in the office while visitor badges are issued, then a map is present with directions to follow a certain route and park at the spaces designated - and don't stray from this route and stay in the quad area. The bird house is located almost in a bee-line between the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial and the 9/11 Memorial.

The birdhouse is a a cubic shaped structure on a rough post, with supports to each corner. There are four levels of holes, with eighteen holes on a side.
