Built according to the plans of the engineer Fresnel, the Big Lighthouse of Kervilahouen entered service in 1836. The tower measures 52 m, its diameter is 7,50 m on the base(basis) and 5,50 m in the summit. His(her,its) ascent is possible, having climbed 213 walking(steps) of granite then an iron staircase. Of above, we discover in clear weather very beautiful panoramic points of view on all the island.
Édifié selon les plans de l’ingénieur Fresnel, le Grand Phare de Kervilahouen est entré en service en 1836. La tour mesure 52 m, son diamètre est de 7,50 m à la base et 5,50 m au sommet. Son ascension est possible, après avoir gravi 213 marches de granite puis un escalier de fer. De là-haut, on découvre par temps clair de très beaux points de vue panoramiques sur toute l’île.
