Statue of Carthage-native Tex Ritter stands in front of Texas Country Music Hall of Fame at 310 W. Panola St., Carthage, TX. The statue was unveiled August 2000. Tex Ritter joined the cast of the Grand Ole Opry in 1965 and remained a member until his death on January 2, 1974. He is the father of actor John Ritter.
