"Figurative art always tells a story. That story may be ambiguous, but it is always a part of the viewing experience. Figurative art is a story about us, for us and is us.
To me, a piece of art has three components. The first is the artist's concept. The second is what the piece itself seems to say independent of the artist's intent. The third and most important component is the myriad of thoughts, feelings, knowledge and imagination that the viewer brings to the art. It is the combination that gives art it's meaning.
Another life-size bronze was installed in the Benson Sculpture Garden in Loveland, CO. Loveland is the site of the annual "Sculpture in the Park" exhibition a show that is one of the largest juried sculpture shows in the country . It is a major event for art lovers, collectors and sculptors from around the world. " (from (
