The museum opened in 1956 due to agreement with Sammarinese collector Giovanni Carlo Giorgetti. Exhibitioncontains about 2000 ancient arms and armours. The exhibition route consists of four rooms and shows the development of “sidearms” and “firearms” with exhibits of great historical value ranging from armours, bills and halberds, wheel-lock, flintlock and fuse firearms to the experimental weapons of the 1800s transition and the breech-loading arms of the late 19th century.
It is part of the Musei di Stato.
