CCG Cutter Spume was a Search and Rescue (SAR) vessel based at Coast Guard Station Meaford from 1979 until 1994. It was retired and donated to the Town of Meaford by the Department of Transport (Fisheries) and stood on display where the Westfort is now. It was removed and sold for scrap.
The portal and Coast Guard emblem on display were in turn salvaged.
The portrait of the Spume was commissioned to and completed by local artist Gary Chick in 2008.
