Don't know much of anything about this marker, besides the fact that it's there. It's very new, probably monumented this year. We do know that Rossland has renovated much of the the downtown section of Columbia Avenue, removing a few benchmarks in the process. Possibly this is meant as a replacement for missing ones. This is smaller than the old tablets, barely an inch in diameter and is stamped simply
LEGAL SURVEY., without any identifying marks.
Probably a small bronze rock/concrete post, it's mounted flush with the sidewalk near the northwest corner of city hall, where city hall and the swimming pool meet.
