Cedarville Cemetery is a mid-size cemetery containing the graves of the first founders of Cedarville, William Cressler and John Bonner, who in 1867 set up a trading post and later also built the first road over Cedar Pass, which connected Surprise Valley to Alturas and the rest of Modoc County. Formerly known as Deep Creek Cedarville took its name from Cedarville, OH.
