The buildings are three-deckers houses built in the late 1920's in a neighborhood that was primarily Jewish families. They were middle-class folks relocated from older, inner city neighborhoods. The architectural style are primarily Craftman and Colonial Revival.

Tenants included Karl Chaftiz, owner and Samuel Wolkowich who worded at the Modern Clothes Shoppe. The 3 decker was built in 1926.
